The Long-Awaited

As mentioned a few weeks ago, the founder of Sane Magazine will be going on tour to support the recent launch of the occasional literary champion, often touching Supertart and to promote general harmony betwixt you, the Public, and us, the Sane Magazine crew.
It is possibly to make up for the blatant disregard for American audiences we've maybe exhibited for the last few years, refusing to perform to any degree of satisfaction for a little over three years (and at all for two) in the country the Polynese refer to as "Burnt Toast".
We didn't mean it, we love you just as much as any of the other countries out there, though we have a special fondness for the ones that are considerably warmer, consisting primarily of beaches, and offer us scores and scores of attractive people to wait on us, hand and foot.

The events, thus far, are:
New York - Sunday 5 November - Cobble Hill Park - midday
Cobble Hill Park, situated in Brooklyn, NY, just around the corner from the Community Bookstore, is the setting for the first event in the States for Sane Magazine in two years.
Himself will read from the two introductions and first chapter until someone has the sense to stop him of Time: a novel. Following that, there'll be the opportunity to ask questions and have them answered (though not in that order), and the founder and the original writer for Sane Magazine will give out personalised horoscopes to the crowd from the Sane Magazine Horoscope writer (who will not be making the trip, due to laziness).
The founder will then lead all assembled and all willing for a post-reading drink at Last Exit, on Atlantic Avenue, where he'll continue to read from Time: a novel, albeit a lot quieter, and probably slurring quite a bit of it after a few or seven pints.
There are rumours that long-time Sane Magazine fangirl Sarah Michelle Gellar will be making an appearance. Both her affection for Sane Magazine and her potential appearance are rumours.

Seattle - Wednesday 8 November - City Hall Park - two pm
This isn't a government sanctioned event.
Himself will be reading, in the rainy city take two, from Time: a novel yet again, this time chapter four and five, and will be performing the short play, "Questioning Reality, A Sitdown Interview." The part of Reality will either be played by Minnie Driver or himself, in a higher pitched voice.
Again, there will be the opportunity for questions and answers (not necessarily related) after the reading(s).
There will be a largely unsuccessful demo of the Supertart site at the picnic tables, which may have to consist of drawing with charcoal or hand puppets.
The documentary film being made of the tour will be shot entirely in black and white for this segment of the trip, and an audience participation version of "The Lumberjack Song" will be performed.

Los Angeles - Tuesday 14 November - TBA - three pm
A small park in Burbank is the third and final major event being held in the United States tour.
The founder of Sane Magazine will attempt to procure a duck and then attempt to balance it on his head for the entirety of the reading of the seventh chapter of Time: a novel.
His duck-finding abilities, while not legendary, are slightly better than average, and certainly better than his duck-balancing abilities, so this may simply be a reading of the seventh and eighth chapters of Time: a novel.
In the interactivity portion of this reading, attendees of the reading will be asked to form a protective circle around the founder of Sane Magazine and fend off any stray dogs that may or may not come charging at the group. If we had ready access to it, Kevlar(tm) would be provided for the members of the outer circle (while this sounds like a cult and/or underground secret order, we assure you, it isn't), however, we don't, so you're going to have to either bring your own or just wear very heavily starched clothing.
Failing a pub, In 'N' Out Burger will be the post-reading place of choice.

disclaimer:
The Sane Magazine 'Day in the Park' Tour 2000.

In case of rain, we're going to get very very wet.
And then find a nearby pub.
